Deputy Jonathan Stewart
End Of Watch: 04/27/2024
Hello South LA Family,
As most of you have now heard we tragically lost one of our brothers last night. Sadly, Deputy Jonathan Stewart or as we all knew him “Stewie” passed away yesterday afternoon.
Jonathan was an amazing partner. He always showed up to work with a smile on his face and was willing to help you out no matter what. He went out of his way to help the members of the community and treated everyone he came into contact with, with respect and kindness. He truly embraced the spirit of what it meant to be a South Los Angeles Station Deputy.
Jonathan had been with the Sheriff’s Department for 17 years, the last 10 of which he was at South Los Angeles Station. Jonathan was apart of the Summer Team Crime Enforcement Program. In 2020 Jonathan was
promoted to Field Training Officer, a position he held until his passing.
Tragically, Jonathan leaves behind his son’s Brody (20), Aiden (15) and Caleb (08) and his wife Leslie.
The South Los Angeles Station 10-33 Memorial Ride Committee will be collecting any donations to provide to Leslie and the kids. Donations can be made through our Venmo (@SLA10-33RIDE) or through the donation button on our website. Please add in the donation comments “FOR DEPUTY STEWARTS FAMILY”.
We greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this. Jonathan was a huge supporter of the 10-33 Memorial Ride and what it stands for. While this donation will not bring Jonathan back to us or his family, hopefully it will help them get back on their feet.
Thank you to everyone for taking the time to help us gather some money for Stewie’s family.
